Blouberg participants raise their voices against abuse

27 Jan,2017WoF service

The Blouberg participants in Limpopo joined stakeholders from SAPS, Road Safety, Fire and Rescue and community members in a fun walk in support of the 16 Days of Activism for No violence Against Women and Children campaign.

They attracted residents to the streets of the town by chanting, singing songs and alerting people about the impact of domestic violence.

“We are proud to form part of this awareness and to stand against those who are abusing our fellow sisters, mothers and children. We as the women deserve to be protected, nurtured and loved,” says Thelma Matlou, the Base Communications Representative (BCR ) at Blouberg Base.

The day went well with the anti-abuse message being delivered on placards to people at various centres within Senwabarwana.
