Dedication goes a long way

10 Aug,2015WoF Women

For Nomphumelelo Mazibuko, a former fire fighter at the Shafton Team who joined Working on Fire in June 2007, being patient and dedicated to make a success of her life has been her driving force and today as the Reception and Administration Assistant at the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Office, she has become synonymous with being the face of WoF in KZN.

“After three years of being a fire fighter I was requested to assist at the provincial office and in 2010 I started as a cleaner, making coffee, answering the switchboard and helping out with general administration work”, she said.

“Later I was promoted to the Receptionist and Administration Assistant for the KZN provincial office. This has only been made possible through hard work and dedication but also largely thanks to the opportunities we as women get in WoF. Dedication does pay off”, Nomphumelelo said.
