5 Dec,2015Training

Eastern Cape Base Managers attended a 3-day training session with the provincial staff to identify and close gaps in the understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the base managers and the provincial staff.

According to the General Manager of the Eastern Cape Province, Ian Henderson, the training ensured a better working relationship between all concerned in the management of fire fighting teams and administrative requirements.

He said the essence of the workshop will encourage the efficiency of the teams in the province and reduce misunderstanding of administrative procedures. “Activities and exercises that were done in this training workshop allowed us to understand each other’s roles very well,” said Andre Boucher, the Base Manager from Bavianskloof base in the Eastern Cape.
