Being an orphan did not deter Khosi Nhlapo from turning her life around and today she is determined to make a success of her career in Working on Fire.

‘Khosi is currently, a Type 2 Dispatcher at the Gauteng Provincial Office. She is from Ratanda in Heidelberg and joined WoF in 2011 after completing her certificate in Business Management at Jeppe College. She started her career in WoF at the Suikerbos Team.

“With the stipend I earn from WoF I am able to care for both my child and that of my late sister. I am also able to pay rent and able to put food on the table”, Khosi said. “As a woman and a single parent, I am proud of what I have been able to achieve in WoF and it has brought me independence and made me stronger”.
