Kishugu Aviation South Africa, a member of the International Aerial Firefighting Work Group, is proud to announce the attendance of Trevor Abrahams, Project Manager of the Working On Fire – Kishugu JV and Chairperson of Kishugu Aviation South Africa, at the meeting of the International Fire Aviation Working Group (IFAWG) in Porto on Monday, 15 May 2023, at 16h00.

The International Fire Aviation Working Group (IFAWG) is a prestigious assembly of aerial fire management specialists who oversee and coordinate the utilization of aircraft for wildland fire management across the globe. Comprising representatives from various countries and jurisdictions, this group plays a crucial role in enhancing the safety and efficiency of aerial firefighting operations worldwide.

The IFAWG operates as a Working Group of the Wildland Fire Advisory Group (WFAG) under the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR).

Abrahams will represent South Africa at this significant gathering of industry professionals. His presence will ensure that South Africa’s voice is heard and its contributions acknowledged on the international stage.

As a member of the International Aerial Firefighting Work Group, Kishugu Aviation South Africa contributes to information sharing and policy development.

The meeting in Porto will serve as a platform for key stakeholders to engage in discussions, share insights, and explore new strategies to address the challenges faced in aerial firefighting operations.
