Excitement is gathering momentum as we move closer to the 8, 9 and 10 November 2023, when the much talked about Working on Fire 20th Anniversary Fire Symposium is taking place at the scenic Skukuza Conference Centre in the Kruger National Park. We will appreciate it if you can attend together with officials from your Fire Services.
The focus of this event is the coordination of fire management activities, on a local, national, and international levels. The event caters for a very wide audience but will have a narrower focus on policy makers and decision makers. Local authorities, FPA’s, Government policy makers, Forestry companies, Conservation Agencies and the Agriculture Sector are therefore urged to participate in this event as it will serve as a platform for a fresh look at coordination and collaboration between stakeholders involved with Integrated Fire Management activities and responsibilities.
If you have already registered, we thank you and look forward to your participation.
The Organizing Committee of Working on Fire@20 Fire Management Symposium Organizing Committee (Working on Fire – Kishugu Joint Venture, Nelson Mandela University – Forestry, Wood Technology and Veldfire Management & Kruger National Park) is also excited to announce the speakers and programme for the symposium. See attached Information about Registration, Accomodation bookings and the Programme.
